A masterplan for a mixed use community in Convoys Wharf, Deptford inspired by the design principles of the Max Fordham house.

With an array of housing types coalescing around a central ‘material store’ and market square. The ‘Material Store’, housed in an existing warehouse is a pre-fabrication space for the site, material bank and maintenance repair workshop, eventually fulfilling other functions such as workspace, an arts venue and second life shops. Around this are stacked and row houses, customisable apartments, self build houses, multi-generational and assisted living, self commissioned (inspired by the German Barguppen model) all paired with more conventional homes - offering variety and choice: ‘a place to start and a place to stay’.

The Net Zero Neighbourhood was the winner of the Archiboo & Max Fordham Net Zero Neighbourhood Architects Pitch competition.
