Activating unused shopfronts with 100m long graphic artwork
At Fountain House in the City of London we were commissioned by the Eastern City BID to complete a meanwhile project to create street level activation. Working with local cultural partners, we produced a 100m long graphic artwork.
Signposting local cultural destinations
The piece included local area history, telling the story of Fenchurch Street as well as sign-posting to local cultural spaces, such as the Gilt of Cain (a nearby monument to the abolition of the slave trade).
The piece runs from Callum Street, down 130 Fenchurch Street, and up to Fen Court and covers 85 shop windows and was designed in collaboration with Studio ND.
Working with cultural partners
We worked with Sculpture in the City, New London Architecture: NLA and artist Patrick McEvoy. Highlighting and showcasing their work in the area, and relocating the ‘Old Tom’s Tale’ artwork from Leadenhall Market (originally commissioned by Eastern City BID to celebrate the market by Patrick McEvoy).
