St James Street is a community of start up businesses on a disused car park site in Walthamstow, London.
The building provides affordable workspace and support for start ups and is also a social space, catering for events and pop-ups, with a terrace and covered outdoor space for eating and drinking.
It is formed from reused and adapted shipping containers stacked and arranged over two levels with a continuous frontage of units around the perimeter. A variety of sizes and types of space is offered, ranging from half a container starter units to large workspaces formed by combining three containers.
